| A: AIS online will improve the way you do business with the RMS, and offers the following benefits: |
- User friendly screens make navigation of AIS online easy to undertake

- Immediate access to AIS updates, notifications and information as soon as they are released

- More efficient and customer focused inspection services due to the timely issue of AIS information
|
- Easy to add and remove existing examiners online eliminating the need to complete forms
|
- Maintain AIS station details by simply updating them online

- Examiners can update their contact details online

| Q: Are there any costs involved in accessing AIS online? |
| |
| A: No. For those AIS who have a computer they will need to organise access to the Internet by contacting an Internet Service Provider. |
| |
| Q: Can you recommend any Internet service providers? |
| |
| A: No. The Internet service provider you choose is up to you. You should check the telephone directory or your local newspaper. |

| Q: What are the system requirements for accessing AIS online? |
| |
| A: You should visit the RMS's website see 'Minimum System Requirements'. |
| |
| Q: Can you recommend what brand of computer I should buy? |
| |
| A: No. The RMS can recommend the minimum equipment you will need to operate the Internet application but what brand of computer you buy is up to you. You should contact a computer dealer. |

Registration

| Q: Who can access AIS online? |
| |
| A: Safety Check, e-Safety Check, AUVIS and HVAIS Proprietors, Proprietor Nominees, Alternate Nominees or examiners are eligible to access AIS online. |

| Q: How do I register with AIS online, I am not an e-Safety Check user? |
| |
| A: To register with AIS online the station Proprietor or Proprietors Nominee must go to the RMS web site (www.transport.nsw.gov.au) and follow the prompts to the AIS online site. Once a Proprietor, Proprietors Nominee or Alternative Nominee initially registers, the station will be added as an AIS online station. |

| Q: What hours will the service be available? |
| |
| A: AIS online will be available
Monday - Saturday 0:01am - 12:00pm, Sunday 9:00am - 11:00pm.

| Q: I am an AIS proprietor, will I still receive paper bulletins once I register as an online station? |
| |
| A: No, once a Proprietor or a Proprietors Nominee registers as an online station, all communication will be conducted electronically. New information will be displayed on the AIS notice board. Links to existing information sheets and bulletins are found on the publications page. |

| Q: What is the difference between being registered for AIS online and being accredited to e-Safety Check? |
| |
| A: AIS online is available to all AIS. All AIS can register for AIS online except those accredited to use the e-Safety Check system. Accredited e-Safety Check stations are able to use the Internet to provide Safety Check inspection results electronically to the RMS. |

| Q: How can I apply for e-Safety Check accreditation? |
| |
| A: You can lodge an electronic expression of interest via a link on the AIS online login page. |
| |
| Q: What happens after I have provided the expression of interest? |
| |
| A; The RMS will provide an Information Pack advising of the benefits of using the e-Safety Check system along with application forms. |

| Q: What happens if I forget my Personal Identification Number (PIN)? |
| |
| A: If the AIS is not an e-Safety Check user simply re-register. If the AIS is e-Safety Check call the

| |
| A: You can change your contact details. |
| |
| Q: Another person knows my PIN, how can I change it? |
| |
| A: Non e-Safety Check users simply re-register, this will delete access under the old PIN. If the AIS is e-Safety Check call the

| Q: Can anyone else change my examiner details? |
| |
| A: No, only the registered person can change details. |
| |
| Q: I am the Proprietor of an online AIS and have a new Examiner starting work for me tomorrow, what is the process for approval? |
| |
| A: Log-on and follow the prompts, if the Examiner is active on the database and the accreditation matches the station, the examiner will be added electronically. There is no paperwork to forward to the RMS. |

| Q: I am an Examiner who has recently commenced work at an AIS, can I add my own details? |
| |
| A: No, only Proprietors and Proprietor Nominees have that authority. |
| |
| Q: I am the Proprietor of an online AIS and have an Examiner leave my employment, what can I do? |
| |
| A: Simply log-on, follow the prompts and remove that Examiner from the Station details. There is no paperwork to forward to the RMS. |
| |
| Q: I am a Proprietor of an e-Safety Check station accredited to use the IVR system, am I automatically registered as an online Station? |
| |
| A: Yes. You are not required to register. |
| |
| Q: I am a Proprietor of an e-Safety Check Station, am I automatically registered as an online Station? |
| |
| A: Yes, e-Safety Stations will be automatically registered with AIS online. |
